About Wardington
Information about Wardington
Wardington, Williamscot and Coton form the parish of St. Mary Magdalene, a small collection of villages in the very top corner of Oxfordshire, close to Banbury. With two pubs and an active community, these little villages provide their residents with a great quality of life in a beautiful environment.
The villages are about three miles from Banbury and junction 11 of the M40, yet off the beaten track, quiet and remarkably unspoiled. The majority of buildings are constructed from local ironstone from the quarry at Hornton, which gives them a darker tone than more westerly Cotswold houses, with a touch of orange from the rust in the stone.
